Making plans for Thanksgiving dinner in Pittsburgh? If you don't really feel like cooking and aren't heading to Grandma's for Thanksgiving dinner, how about letting someone else do all the work? A number of Pittsburgh area restaurants are serving dinner on Thanksgiving Day. Plus, others which will do all the cooking for you - just pick up dinner and take it home.

Pittsburgh Restaurants Open for Thanksgiving Dinner

Several restaurants in Pittsburgh are open for Thanksgiving dinner, though you may have to be flexible, especially if you have a large party. Earlier seating times tend to go first. In all cases make a reservation early.

Various Locations
A three-course Thanksgiving meal with a variety of selections for each course, will be served from 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Atria's locations in the North Hills, Murrysville, O'Hara, Peters, Pleasant Hills, Richland, Mt. Lebanon and PNC Park (North Shore). $24.99 for adults; special menu and pricing for children 12 and under.

The Capital Grille
301 Fifth Avenue, Pittsburgh
The popular downtown steakhouse, The Capital Grille will be offering their own take on Thanksgiving favorites alongside their traditional a la carte dinner menu. Hours: 12:00 noon – 9:00 p.m. Price: $36 per adult/$15 per child for the Thanksgiving menu.

1 Wexford Square, Wexford
This charming European-inspired restaurant will host a festive array of dishes for their Thanksgiving buffet, including traditional sides and pies. The buffet will run from 12:00 until 5:00 p.m. for groups large and small. Price: $24.95 adults, $10.95 children 3–10.

Gateway Clipper
350 Station Square West, South Side
For Thanksgiving dinner with a different twist, try the Thanksgiving dinner cruise on the Gateway Clipper's Majestic. Three dinner 2 1/2 hour dinner cruises board at 11:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., and 3:30 p.m. Enjoy traditional Thanksgiving fare and DJ-selected music. The cost, including tax and gratuity, is $45.00 for adults and $20.00 for children 12 and under.

Habitat Restaurant
510 Market Street, Downtown
Habitat restaurant at Fairmont Pittsburgh celebrates Thanksgiving with a lavish brunch buffet and holiday-inspired dinner menu. The Thanksgiving buffet features a traditional brunch menu along with omelet and carving stations for roasted turkey and stuffing, maple-glazed Virginia ham and roast beef, plus traditional Thanksgiving sides and desserts. For dinner, Habitat will offer their regular dinner menu, along with several Thanksgiving dinner specials. Buffet Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Dinner Seatings: 5:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Price: $65 per person (children 6-12 $25.00; 5 and under, free), includes self-parking.

Coraopolis Heights Road, Moon
One of Pittsburgh's most romantic and elegant restaurants, Hyeholde is a popular place for Thanksgiving dinner. They're serving their traditional Thanksgiving buffet of popular holiday favorites, including carved herb-roasted turkey, carved prime rib, and lemon-caper baked salmon, plus delicious sides and desserts on Thanksgiving Day. Hours: 11:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. Price: $39 per person, children 5-12 $19.50, children 4 & under free. Reservations required.

1114 Grandview Avenue, Mount Washington
LeMont is open on Thanksgiving Day for a special Thanksgiving Feast Buffet. Overlook beautiful downtown Pittsburgh while enjoying a variety of Thanksgiving favorites including a carving station with turkey, ham, roast filet, salmon, and almond encrusted sole, plus pumpkin bisque, traditional stuffing, mashed and sweet potatoes, cheese tortellini and fettuccine al fresco. Make reservations by calling 412-431-3100. Seatings: noon, 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Prices: $36.95 per adult and $13.95 for children ages seven to 12. Children ages six and under eat for free.

The Meadows: Terrace Cafe
210 Racetrack Road, Washington, PA
Located in the Meadows Racetrack and Casino, the Terrace Cafe will be open on Thanksgiving day menu with a special menu of carved roast turkey breast, giblet gravy, stuffing, candied bourbon sweet potatoes, buttermilk mashed potatoes, green beans with almonds and cranberry sauce. Also included are a house salad or soup of the day and your choice of pumpkin or apple pie. Price: $14.95 per person.

Michael's Restaurant & Lounge
3052 Churchview Avenue, Baldwin
Part of the Baldwin community for nearly 50 years, Michael's is once again open for Thanksgiving Day. The menu includes your choice of carved turkey, ham or roast beef, plus a choice of four sides from a variety of soups, salads and traditional Thanksgiving accompaniments. The low price of $18.95 ($10.95 for kids under 10) also includes a beverage and dessert. Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Mitchell's Fish Market
185 West Waterfront Drive, Homestead
This Thanksgiving, Mitchell’s Fish Market locations in the Waterfront and Mt. Lebanon (Galleria) will feature a 3-course dinner of roasted turkey, gravy, apple-herb stuffing and cranberry relish, plus choice of starter, side, and dessert for $24.99 per person ($8.99 for children). Hours: 1:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Nemacolin Woodlands Resort
Farmington, PA
Select from over 100 menu items at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort's annual Thanksgiving Holiday Brunch, from the chef's selection of Quiche, Waffle Station, Orzo Pasta Station, Oysters, Shrimp and Snow Crab Legs, plus desserts and breads and, of course, holiday favorites - Roasted Turkey Carving Station, Country Green Beans and Toasted Almonds, Molasses Roasted Yams and Sweet Potatoes and more. Reservations Required. $65.00 adults; $32.50 children 4–12); children 3 and under complimentary. Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

The Rivers Casino
The Rivers Casino, North Shore
Andrew's Steak & Seafood at The Rivers' Casino is open for Thanksgiving Day with their regular menu, plus holiday specials (priced a la carte). Hours 3:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The Grand View Buffet is also open all day with all of your holiday favorites. Hours: 10:30 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. Price: $24.99 per person.

The Terrace Room
Omni William Penn, Downtown Pittsburgh
The Terrace Room restaurant in the beautiful Omni William Penn features a four course bountiful Thanksgiving Day brunch prepared by Executive Chef Jacky Francois, plus live jazz all day. Adults $42, Children 7-12 years old $19. Complimentary for children 6 and under. Hours: 12:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.

The Wooden Nickel
Enjoy a classic American thanksgiving meal, including a plated feast with your choice of roast turkey or grilled Scottish salmon, plus mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, vegetables and a dessert buffet for $21.99 ($19.99 for loyalty card members), and $10.99 for children under 10. Reservations required. Hours: 11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (last seating at 6:00 p.m.)

In addition to the restaurants and hotels covered above, Thanksgiving dinner is also served at many other Pittsburgh hotel chains. A few, though not many, Asian and Indian restaurants can also be found open on Thanksgiving Day.
