Assistance & Social Services for Seniors
Service provides door-to-door, advanced reservation, shared-ride transportation that is provided throughout Allegheny County, and is open to the general public. ACCESS primarily serves senior citizens and persons with disabilities and operates from 6:00am to midnight, seven days a week.
Allegheny County Area Agency on Aging
Provides programs and services designed to help older adults of Allegheny County maintain their independence and enjoy a safe, healthy lifestyle. They operate numerous senior community centers, plus offer fitness and exercise programs, home delivered meals, life enrichment and other services.
Eastern Area Adult Services
EAAS provides in-home assisted living services and community services including Senior Centers, Adult Day Care Services, general information, volunteer opportunities, crisis intervention, and Home Delivered Meals.

Non-profit agency dedicated to providing essential, affordable services for older adults in Allegheny County and the surrounding region. They can help with personal care, home delivered meals, telephone reassurance, senior companionship, caregiver relief and adult day care. They also operate 15 Senior Community Centers.

Low-cost, shared ride service will deliver you to medical appointments, grocery shopping and senior centers, weekdays from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Service is door to door and open to adults 60 years of age and older living in Allegheny County.

Provides a broad range of health and human services for elderly and fragile at risk residents, at various convenient neighborhood sites. No charge for services.
Program for persons 60 years and older offers and coordinates recreational activities, transportation services, group meals, and information and referral services for seniors. Administered by the City of Pittsburgh through its Senior Community Centers.
Senior Information Station
Located in the Monroeville Mall, the Senior Information Station offers seniors and caregivers a wide variety of services such as applications for older adult entitlement programs, as well as assistance in completing these forms; brochures and pamphlets on all types of senior services; direct referrals to services; and on-site specialists to provide follow-up advocacy.
Lutheran Service Society operates the SeniorNet Learning Center program, a computer educational curriculum designed for adults age 50 and older.
The Senior Times
Monthly publication is "direct mailed" to 36,000 seniors 55 and older in Allegheny, Fayette, Greene, Washington and Westmoreland counties. Includes news of interest to seniors, plus information on senior services and activities.
Southwestern Pennsylvania Area Agency on Aging
Promotes the well-being of older adults living in Fayette, Greene and Washington Counties with referral services, legal services, community living arrangements, employment assistance, home delivered meals, adult day care, transportation and senior community centers.
UPMC Institute on Aging
The University of Pittsburgh Institute on Aging offers access to a wide range of senior services and information on conditions and diseases that affect older adults.
A private, non-denominational, non-profit human service organization dedicated to assisting home-based elderly, 60 years of age or older, in Allegheny County.
Vintage Senior Services
Comprehensive services for older adults in Allegheny County help to address the isolation and loneliness often associated with aging and support independent living. Their multipurpose Senior Center in East Liberty offers a variety of senior services and classes, as well as adult day care.
