Director of Ed Rendell's Southwest Pennsylvania Regional Office since 2003; served three terms on Pittsburgh city council, two as president; prior to entering politics he was vice president of operations for Pappan Enterprises (Roy Rogers restaurants), a franchise of Marriott Corp.

Lawyer for 22 years; vice chairman of the Pittsburgh Republican party; elected member of the state Republican party.
