When approached by Bernardine and I.N. Hagan (of Hagan Ice Cream fame) about designing a house for them, architect Frank Lloyd Wright said he could "shake it [Kentuck Knob] out of his sleeve at will." Amazingly, despite only setting foot on the site once for a brief visit during the construction phase, Frank Lloyd Wright still managed to pull of a beautiful masterpiece of architecture at one with its surroundings. Kentuck Knob was one of the last homes to be completed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
