The Johnstown Flood Museum, pictured here, helps to recreate the story of the devastating Johnstown Flood of 1889 through photos, film, and exhibits. From the museum building itself you can look out over the valley that was once dammed up as a lake for the rich and famous who belonged to the South Fork Hunting & Fishing Club. Two nearby locations allow you to overlook the exact spot where the dam used to be. You can still see some of the huge rocks from the dam scattered on the hillside!
