Summer Hill - Neighborhood of Pittsburgh

Summer Hill was originally part of Allegheny City, which was incorporated in 1840. However, the records of Old Allegheny reveal a history of settlement which dates to the 18th century. Since its annexation to the City of Pittsburgh in 1907, the Summer Hill district has expanded and developed. The Summer Hill community continue to grow and evolve through the efforts of neighbors and local community-based organizations.

Location:

Summer Hill is located north of Downtown Pittsburgh, and is surrounded by Observatory Hill and Northview Heights.

Summer Hill is located in close proximity to Riverview Park complete with a swimming pool, horseback riding, hiking trails, and a bike path. Convenient shops and easy access to Downtown Pittsburgh make Summer Hill an accessible and pleasant city neighborhood.
