Free Market Square Summer Concert Series 2012:
Free music will be rocking Market Square in downtown Pittsburgh this summer, thanks to a brand-new Friday evening summer concert series. Iron City Sound Downtown Live! kicks off on Friday, June 29 with Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers. The live concerts run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on select Fridays, offering a great way to unwind from the work week and enjoy revitalized Market Square. The series was developed in partnership with the Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership and the title sponsor is Pittsburgh Brewing Co. and Iron City. All performances are free and open to the public.

June 29: Joe Grushecky & the Houserockers, with opener The Longtime Darlings
July 13: Jimmy Buffett look- and sound-alike Tom Watt as "The Buffett Man."
July 20: The soulful Billy Price Band, with opener Dream Job.
July 27: Jeff Jimerson, best known as the Penguins' anthem singer, & Airborne, with opener Bear Cub.
Aug. 3: Headliner TBA, with opener Danielle Barbe.
Aug. 10: Caribbean-infused John McDonald & The Mango Men, with opener Guaracha.
Aug. 17: Country band The Stickers.
