For the first time in its 113-year history, Kennywood will be open weekends in December with holiday lights, rides, food and other holiday activities. Over 1 million holiday lights sparkle throughout the park for this one-of-a-kind holiday treat.

Prices:
Admission to Kennywood Holiday Lights is $12.99 per person. Children 2 years of age and younger are free. Parking is also free. $2.00 off coupons are available at participating Giant Eagles.
If you purchase a 2012 Kennywood season pass in advance for $84.99 (a great Christmas idea), admission to the 2011 Kennywood Holiday Lights is free.
What to Expect:
A Kennywood holiday lights show, timed to a soundtrack of classic holiday songs, will run several times each evening around the lagoon. A few holiday-themed rides will be open as well, including the carousel, Kangaroo, Paratrooper, select Kiddieland rides, and a Polar Express themed Olde Kennywood Railroad. Santa will be on hand, of course, for meet-and-greets, letter-writing opportunities, cookie decorating and pictures. Holiday entertainment will be provided by a number of area choral groups.
Holiday Food:
Several food stands will be open throughout the park serving up seasonal fare such as kettle corn, s'mores, Potato Patch Fries and a variety of hot drinks.
Before you Go:
Kennywood will present fireworks on December 2 only to kick off the Kennywood Holiday Lights celebration. Fireworks are at 9:00 p.m., weather permitting.

Kennywood Holiday Lights are held at Kennywood Amusement Park, 10 miles from downtown Pittsburgh on PA 837 along the Monongahela River.
Directions:
Follow Interstate 376 (Parkway East) to the Swissvale Exit (No. 7). From this exit, follow the Kennywood arrows.
