A chilling concoction of horror, chills, and gore, the Scream Asylum is the creation of L5 Productions, whose work has included designing sets for Kennywood Park's "Exterminator" ride and helping with the collapsing bridge scene in the film "The Mothman Prophecies." L5's first haunted house was "Armageddon," located on the site of an old Koppers plant in Bridgeville in 2000.The SCREAMFEST at Scream Asylum offers three levels of scream: Batman (for the tame of heart), Maniac Mansion (for the brave), and Scream Asylum (for the truly daring!). Other attractions include carnival rides, gaming and concessions, making Scream Asylum the Tri-states largest haunted festival.
Special events are held at Scream Asylum throughout October, including live music on select Friday and Saturday nights and visits by the Wish 99.7 FM Haunted Street Treat Patrol with treat bags.
