Chet Welch has lived in Ford City, Pennsylvania his entire life, in the same house. He continues to live there with his significant other and his collection of "rescued" animals, including three dogs (Forrester, Chance and Savanna), 15 sheep, 75 ducks and three cats. He's also housed llamas and other animals in the past.
Special Interests:
Chet Welch is the Executive Director for two local Miss Pennsylvania pageants - Miss Armstrong County and Miss Southwestern Pennsylvania - and was recognized for his work with the Volunteer Award from the state pageant organization in 2005. In his 23 years as director, he has helped to mentor 11 Miss Pennsylvanias: Marla Wynne - 1990; Diane Fabiano - 1993; GiGi Gordon - 1996; Mayra Acosta - 1998; Susan Spafford - 1999; Melissa Jeka - 2000; Rosalyn Menon - 2001; Autumn Marissa - 2002; Candace Otto - 2003; Nicole Brewer - 2005 and Emily Wills - 2006.
Favorite Activities:
Chet Welch loves to travel and has traveled throughout the United States. In his free time he enjoys swimming, hiking and kayaking, as well as dancing and yoga.
