The 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks will be observed at the Flight 93 National Memorial on the morning of September 11, 2011, beginning at approximately 9:30 a.m. The memorial service will take place at the newly-opened memorial plaza surrounding the site where Flight 93 crashed at 10:03 a.m. on September 11, 2001. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama are scheduled to pay their respects at the Flight 93 memorial on September 11, though the time of their arrival has not been released.

Admission:
Events at the Flight 93 National Memorial are free and open to the public; no tickets required.
Parking:
Head toward the Flight 93 Memorial entrance on Route 30 and then follow the signs. Parking will be in fields within the Park boundaries, with shuttle buses transporting people between the lots and the memorial entrance. Shuttles will run from 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m., including accessible buses capable of accommodating wheelchairs. Drop off is NOT allowed at the ceremony area.
Security:
All visitors will be required to pass through security checkpoints at the entrance to the ceremony area.
- Chairs are allowed, but not in bags
- Food is allowed, but only in small quantities (snack-size items).
- No coolers (hard- or soft-sided)
- No backpacks or large bags
- No pets, except service animals
What to Expect:
Crowds will be extremely large, and traffic into and out of the area is expected to be heavy. The expected arrival of President and Mrs. Obama may increase traffic congestion. Please arrive at least two hours early to park and get through security.
