The fun-filled Pittsburgh International Children's Festival celebrates its 22nd birthday this year, but with a new home in Oakland. Over 5 days, the International Children's Festival offers professional performing companies from around the world; hilarious and exciting roving performers; fun, hands-on cultural activities; and the KidStage, which offers free performances throughout the day by amateur and professional acts.

When:

May 14-18, 2008
    Weekdays: 9:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
    Saturday & Sunday: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Where:

The 22nd annual Pittsburgh International Children's Festival will be held at a brand new site, centered in the green spaces and theaters of Oakland. The main Festival Grounds are located on the campus grounds of the University of Pittsburgh and at Schenley Plaza.

Admission:


Tickets can be purchased in advance at a reduced rate: $7/person (1-show package), $11/person (2-show package), $16/person (3-show package). Each package includes hands-on cultural activities, free outdoor KidStage and tours of the Nationality Rooms at the University of Pittsburgh.

Parking:

Drop-off areas and free bus parking are provided. Parking for festival attendees is available throughout the Oakland area, including but not limited to the Soldiers and Sailors parking lot, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History parking lot, and metered spaces surrounding the Festival grounds.
