The 10th annual Wings Over Pittsburgh military air show will be hosted by the 911th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command on September 10–11, 2011 (the 10-year anniversary of 9/11). Attended by more than 30,000 people each year, Wings Over Pittsburgh features military and civilian aerial demonstrations and static displays as well as lots of children's activities.

Admission:
Admission and parking to the Wings Over Pittsburgh air show are FREE! Please be advised that coolers and bags are not permitted at the event. Certain essential bags, such as diaper and camera bags, will be permitted and are subject to search. Strollers, wagons and folding chairs will also be permitted and are highly recommended.
What to Expect:
The annual Wings Over Pittsburgh air show in Pittsburgh features static displays, tactical demonstrations, numerous flybys of military aircraft, performances by a precision aerobatic military team, plus ground activities showcasing the military's day-to-day operations.
Wings Over Pittsburgh Performers - 2011:
The 2011 air show will feature the newly formed Heavy Metal Jet Team performing various aerobatic maneuvers both Saturday and Sunday. Other military and civilian performers include Sean Tucker and Team Oracle, Sky Soldiers, Smoke-N-Thunder Jet Shows, Red Bull Air Force, Viper West F-16 West Coast Demonstration Team, Tim Weber, Red Bull Helicopter, Northeast Raiders Demonstration Team, Red Bull Team Chambliss and Nalls Aviation - Sea Harrier

Static displays at the Wings Over Pittsburgh air show feature a large number of airplanes, including the A-10 Thunderbolt II, B-52 Stratofortress, KC-135 Stratotanker, C-130 Hercules, C-17 Globemaster III, C-5 Galaxy, E-2C Hawkeye, EA-6B Prowler, EA-18G Growler, EC-130J Commando Solo, MH-65D Dolphin, T-6A Texan II, T-45 Goshawk, C-123 Provider, UH-1B Huey, Sikorsky S-58C, F-5N Tiger II, T-1 Jayhawk and many more.
