Wings Over Pittsburgh is a free, annual military air show hosted by the 911th Airlift Wing of the Air Force Reserve Command. Attended by more than 30,000 people each year, Wings Over Pittsburgh features military and civilian aerial demonstrations and static displays as well as lots of children's activities. There will be a special tribute to mothers on Sunday for Mother's Day.

When:

May 10-11, 2008
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Gates close at 3:00 p.m. and noone will be admitted after that time. It is recommended that you arrive by 12:30pm.

Where:

Next to the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport, off of Business Route 60.

Admission:

Admission and parking to the Wings Over Pittsburgh air show are FREE

What to Expect:

The annual Wings Over Pittsburgh air show in Pittsburgh features static displays, tactical demonstrations, numerous flybys of military aircraft, performances by a precision aerobatic military team, plus ground activities showcasing the military's day-to-day operations.

Wings Over Pittsburgh Performers - 2008:


Military performers include the Canada's Snowbirds Precision Aerobatic Military Demonstration Team, the U.S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the U.S. Navy's Leap Frogs Parachute Jump Team, the U.S. Air Force F-16 and F-22 Demo teams, the U.S. Air Force P47 Heritage Flight and the U.S. Navy F/A-18 Demo team. Civilian performers include Sean Tucker, John Klatt, the Geico Sky Typers, Kevin Russo, Matt Chapman and Julie Clark

Wings Over Pittsburgh Displays - 2008:


Static displays at the Wings Over Pittsburgh air show feature a large number of airplanes, including the A-10, T-1, T-6, F-15E, T-34, T-38, T-45, C-17, E-2C, F/A-18, P3, Piedmont and the Beech Stagger Wing, among others.
