"Run for a Reason" at this annual event in North Park which helps to raise money for RSG1. Proceeds benefit the RSG1 Save A Brain Campaign, funding critical research and advancing therapies and treatments of glioblastoma tumors, cancer, Alzheimer's, neurodegenerative diseases, diabetes, epilepsy and Glut1 DS.

The Fight for Air Climb 2014 challenges athletes in a race to the top of the Gulf Tower in Downtown Pittsburgh to raise much needed funds for those battling lung disease. Climb-at-your-own-pace participants are also welcome, with your own separate start time.

The 7th Annual Race For Grace 5K & 1 Mile Walk benefits the Reflections Of Grace Foundation, named after Grace Elizabeth Ekis, a precious 5-year-old who lost her courageous 13-month battle with a rare cancerous brain tumor on Valentine’s Day 2008.

Every hour of every day someone is diagnosed with MS, and this popular Pittsburgh walk helps raise funds for national and local MS programs. Don't live in Allegheny County? There's another MS Walk in Westmoreland County (Greensburg) on May 4 as well, plus MS Walks in Beaver and Washington counties on April 27, 2014.

Take steps to help cure Cystic Fibrosis at the Pittsburgh GreatStrides walk - to be held May 1 at beautiful North Shore Riverfront Park. Several other CFF GreatStrides walks are scheduled around southwestern Pennsylvania on other days in May, including South Park (May 18), North Park (May 18), Boyce Park (May 18), Moraine State Park (May 18), Youghiogheny River Park (May 17) and the Blue Spruce Nature Center in Indiana (May 10).

The Pittsburgh Marathon is back and better than ever for 2014, and offers you the chance to dedicate your run to one of several great national and local charities. In addition to the 26-mile marathon, there is also a half-marathon and marathon relay, as well as a wheelchair division, with a course that crosses all three rivers on its way through downtown, the North Shore, the South Side, Oakland, Shadyside and Bloomfield.
