Castle Chess Camp
Overnight camp for all ages that includes tournament practice and analysis, speed chess and bughouse tournaments, written evaluation by chess masters, and instruction on the use of a chess library, ChessBase, and other computer-based resources. Held July 15-22, 2001 at Pitt-Bradford University.
Deer Valley Summer Family Camp
This summer family camping program is a full service camping experience with heated cabins and meals in a dining hall overlooking the lake. National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention
A joint project of the US Patent and Trademark Office and the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention is a one-week day camp for children entering grades 2-6 and hosted by schools throughout the country each summer. Pittsburgh area locations include Pittsburgh, Monroeville, Butler, Jefferson Hills, Greensburg and Cranberry Township.
