The 100th successful rail-trail project in Pennsylvania, the Panhandle Trail stretches for 29 miles from Walkers Mill near Carnegie, PA, to just outside of Weirton, WV.
Montour Trail Bike Trail
The nearly 50-mile Montour Trail is a non-motorized recreational rail-trail near Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The majority of the trail sports a crushed limestone surface, great for cycling, walking and running. A paved section in Peters Township offers access for roller blading, while other sections of the Montour Trail are open for horseback riding.
