Each summer, Allegheny County hosts a series of free summer concerts at various parks and other locations around the Pittsburgh area. All performances in the Allegheny County Summer Concert Series are free and open to the public. Highlights for 2008 include the 14th annual Pittsburgh Blues Festival at Hartwood Acres and classic rock band Blue Oyster Cult at the South Park Amphitheater.

Concerts in the Allegheny County Summer Concert Series can be enjoyed at South Park, Hartwood Acres, and the County Courthouse Courtyard (downtown) with a few single events held at North Park, Boyce Park and Harrison Hills Park.2008 Free Summer Concert Series Line-Up:
