Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve - Outdoor Discovery Camps
Led by the Audubon Society of Western Pennsyvania, these outdoor discovery camps for children ages 6 to 11, include six different outdoor adventures exploring nature, discovering interesting animals and playing cool survival games. Contact the ASWP for more information.

Camp Earth
The Carnegie Museum of Natural History provides an amazing array of fun summer camps for children ages 4-12. With names like Camp Dragontooth for Young WizardsGo Log Wild;  and Muck and Mayhem, you can't go wrong!

Camp Science STAR
Overnight camp for students in grades 5 & 6 that provides hands-on, minds-on activities to foster campers' interests in science. Sponsored by the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford.

Carnegie Science Center Summer Workshops
Summer programs which vary from half-day workshops to week-long, full-day camps for children ages 3-adult. Explore the science of roller coasters, become a Junior Astronaut or Wizard, build LEGO superstructures and much more in these great camps!

Meadowcroft Museum of Rural Life
One day camps offered in July and August for children ages 6-14, which include hands-on activities associated with archaeology and prehistoric life, conservation, 19th-century village and farm life, and the environmental history of southwestern PA. 

National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention
A joint project of the US Patent and Trademark Office and the National Inventors Hall of Fame, Camp Invention is a one-week day camp for children entering grades 2-6 and hosted by schools throughout the country each summer. Pittsburgh area locations include Pittsburgh, Monroeville, Butler, Jefferson Hills, Greensburg and Cranberry Township.

Kids College - Penn State McKeesport
From kite and rocket making to astronomy and the magic of materials science, Penn State’s McKeesport Campus is sure to make your child’s summer a special one. Summer camps take place throughout the month of July and cover kids in grades 4-7.

Phipps Conservatory Summer Day Camps
Children ages 4-12 can explore seeds, rainforests, butterflies, and wildlife in these summer day camps sponsored by Phipps Conservatory in Oakland, PA.

Pittsburgh Voyager Summer Camps
Summer river adventures on Pittsburgh's three rivers for children ages 5 to 14. Board the Voyager or Discovery, former Navy training vessels which have been converted to floating science labs, for a variety of two-day and week-long camps.

Science Camp Watonka
Watonka offers a four or eight week sleepaway camp filled with hands-on sciences, sports, games and trips. This camp attracts boys, ages 7-15, from around the world to enjoy programs such as biochemistry, photography, physics and robotics as well as crafts, archery, rifle, minibikes, sports, overnight camping and waterfront. Located on the edge of the Poconos in NE PA.
