Knoxville - Neighborhood of Pittsburgh

Located south of Downtown Pittsburgh, Knoxville is surrounded by the communities of Allentown, Beltzhoover, Bon Air, and Carrick. This Pittsburgh "bedroom community" is strategically located between neighboring business districts and boasts numerous recreational and social facilities and activities.According to its residents, Knoxville is becoming a beneficiary of the "back to the city" trend. Solid, affordable and often historic homes grace its tree-lined streets including the very green McKinley Park.Like many Pittsburgh neighborhoods, Knoxville's residents tend to stick close to home. It is not unusual to find generations of one family living within a few blocks of each other.The neighborhood of Knoxville is represented by Pittsburgh City Council District #3.
