From the Race for the Cure to free admission at the zoo, there are plenty of fun ways to celebrate Mother's Day in the greater Pittsburgh area.

Schenley Park at Flagstaff Hill
This 5K run/walk and one-mile fun walk to raise breast cancer awareness and honor its survivors is an annual Mother's Day tradition in Pittsburgh. Last year, more than 35,000 participated, including 2,000 breast cancer survivors.

Mother's Day Brunch at the Pittsburgh Zoo
Saturday, May 12, 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Enjoy a beautiful Mother's Day Brunch filled with great food, calypso music, an animal presentation by local celebrity Henry Kacprzyk and other activities for kids and their moms. On Sunday, May 13, the Zoo extends the fun with free admission for Moms when accompanied by their children, plus free chair massages and beauty tips.

Mother's Day Tea at Hartwood

One of the most popular events at Hartwood Acres Park, the Mother's Day Tea is $33 per person. Space is limited, and advanced reservations are required by calling 412-767-9200. Make your reservation early because the Teas fill very quickly!

Mother's Day Tour at Hartwood

Mothers receive a free tour of Hartwood Mansion when accompanied by their paying child. Reservations recommended (412) 767-9200.

Mother's Day Cruises - Gateway Clipper
Sunday, May 13, 12:00, 1:00, 4:00 and 6:00 p.m.
Bring Mom and the rest of the family and spend time aboard one of four fabulous buffet cruises sailing on Mother's Day. It's a great time for all!

Something for "Mum" at Phipps

Mother's Day is not complete without a flower arrangement for mom. Simple floral arrangements are made with a feminine touch. A high heel, handbag, and other creative containers make your "mum" feel special on this day.
