Extreme water sports, jet-ski racing, water-ski shows, children's activities, national-act concerts, and the dramatic Fourth of July - Regatta Thunder fireworks show are only some of the reasons to attend the annual Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta. Attracting over 400,000 annually, the Pittsburgh Regatta is the region's largest community event and the largest inland regatta in the United States.
When: July 3-4, 2007
Most events will take place on July 4th only. On July 3rd enjoy a Regatta Kick-Off Concert from 4pm - 11pm.
Where: Station Square - Renovations at Point State Park have caused the Pittsburgh Regatta and Fourth of July Celebration to relocate to Station Square for 2007.
Admission: FREE!
In the Water: The Pittsburgh Regatta makes a splash as the City of Pittsburgh's official Fourth of July celebration, including many popular water activities:

For the Kids: This year, Sully, Kitty and Burble of Danger Ranger will entertain kids while they teach them safety in the water and on the land. And, kids can meet the characters after the stage show! Plus, several inflatables, of course!

  • 9:30-11:00pm The Gathering Field
Regatta Thunder Fireworks - 4th of July: In the grand tradition of July 4th fireworks and fun, the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta is also Pittsburgh's most exciting Independence Day celebration - all rolled up into one. Along with Pittsburgh's largest fireworks spectacular - Regatta Thunder Fireworks - you can also enjoy live music, water activities, children's activities, great food and much more!
Parking for the Fourth of July / 3 Rivers Regatta: Parking will be available in the Station Square lots at $10 a space. Parking on Mount Washington will be limited to residents only. Your best bet would be to park somewhere along the T line and take the train to Station Square, or park downtown and walk or bike across.
