Last weekend I enjoyed a beautiful Saturday afternoon downtown listening to holiday music at the PPG Wintergarden with my family, while viewing the Spirits of Giving From Around the World exhibit, along with delicious-looking holiday gingerbread houses created by area individuals, organizations, senior citizens, students and chefs. The gingerbread exhibit is further enhanced with a unique display of trains from the private collection of local artist Don Jones. The exhibit is entirely free -- what a great way to get into the holiday spirit!
Of course, the PPG Wintergarden is just one of dozens of places in the greater Pittsburgh area sure to put you in the holiday spirit. From the holiday trees and Presepio at the Carnegie Museum of Art to the beautifully decorated rooms and holiday garden lights at Phipps Conservatory's Winter Flower Show, there are just some favorite Pittsburgh area holiday places and exhibits that really stand out - the ones that delight visitors year after year. Have you visited them all?
