Pittsburgh is Calm After Yesterday's G-20 Riots
Despite the fact that the Pittsburgh G-20 Resistance Project has been encouraging civil disobedience -- an "everywhere protest" -- at over 100 locations around the city this morning, little appears to have occurred. Police said there haven't been any reports of large gatherings or vandalism. A few protest groups did gather, at Forbes Avenue and Atwood Street in Oakland, as well as in East Liberty, but there appears to have been no major violence or damage.
This follows a fairly contentious Thursday, where protesters filled the streets of Lawrenceville and Bloomfield and attempted to march toward the convention center where the G-20 is being held. The group had not obtained a permit for the march, and were turned back by police in riot gear. The protests resulted in at least 66 arrests and about 19 businesses with broken windows or other damage according to The New York Times.
While I personally feel the Pittsburgh G-20 Summit is a positive step toward achieving world economic growth, I completely understand that people have their own agendas and messages to get across. At least activist groups such as Greenpeace who rappelled from the West End bridge on Wednesday with a banner denouncing climate change chose to protest with a specific message, and in such a manner that noone and nothing got hurt (although they did break a few laws). But what message does a protest such as the "everywhere protest," which encourage mobs and vandalism, convey to our world leaders? People have come from all over the country to participate in these protests. What do they hope to gain?

What is there to gain? GAIN? These words keep coming up again, bubbling up from all the programming shoved into peoples faces. It is not about gain, it is about liberty, friend. It is about the $$$ that was used to have those police there (and if you’ve seen the countless videos floating around FROM the riots you can get a good window into the aggressive and SAVAGE nature of modern police in a modern police country and how it sure ain’t worth my tax dollar!!) Gain though, is not something any of us want. We want our rights, we want the federal reserve auditted and put in its place, we want the war criminals of Iraq and Afghanistan hung on a platform just like Hussein, we want the answers we’ve been asking about 9/11 for years to be treated with respect, open the book on all the scientific evidence thats built up in almost 10 years regarding that fiasco. To heck with the global economic agenda. You gotta start with keeping your own plot square, which we’ve slacked on doing. The socialist change Obama and other world leaders are seeking are just one of millions of things we don’t need to gain.
What do the world leaders need to know? WE DON’T NEED YOUR FAT GOVERNMENTS ANY MORE. WE DON’T NEED YOUR SOCIAL PROGRAMS AND CORPORATE WELFARE. WE DON’T NEED YOUR LAWS RESTRICTING GUN OWNERSHIP. WE DON’T NEED YOUR G20 SUMMITS FOR THE RICHEST OF THE RICH, WE DON’T NEED YOUR COUNCIL ON FOREIGN RELATIONS, WE DON’T NEED YOUR CHANGE MR OBAMA, YOUR CHANGE IS DOGMATIC AND DOUBLY-SPOKEN. YOU SPEAK WITH A FORKED TONGUE.
There have not been any riots. There have been peaceful protesters attacked by police, justified by agent provocateurs posing as so-called “anarchists”. Same thing was done in London at the last G20 when the press lined up to take pics of so-called “anarchists” smashing bank windows as police left the “anarchists” alone and harassed peaceful protesters.

Put your money where your protest is. Your last true freedom. Protests will just give you a sore ass, sore throat, temporary blindness and or ringing in your ears. Don’t like what’s going on, stop feeding it. Do your research you lazy bastards: banks, creditors, products, chains and even the bloody government itself. What would happen if just 20 million people stopped paying federal taxes until their government started listening? Maybe that’s just to logical for you bombastic bags of gas to handle?
