Welcome Spring at the Flower Show

Wednesday April 1, 2009
Beds full of tulips add swaths of vibrant color to the Phipps Spring Flower Show. Photo by Bonnie Cline. It must be Spring because the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden's 2009 Spring Flower Show is in full swing. Each of the 13 rooms in the Victorian glass house and gardens in Schenley Park is filled with a wide variety of spring blooming flowers -- yellow and pink lilies, pansies, delphinium, buttercups, forget-me-nots, tulips, daffodils, hyacinth more. Visitors can also enjoy the Garden Railroad which is still in place, as well as the programmable fountain in the Victoria Room.

Phipps Conservatory & Botanical Gardens is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and until 10:00 p.m. on Fridays. Admission is $10 for adults; $9 for seniors (62 and over) and students with ID; $7 for children ages 2-18; and free for Phipps members and children under 2.
