September Festivals & Fairs

While many consider Labor Day as the end of summer, the festival fun continues in the Pittsburgh area throughout the month of September. This coming weekend brings quite a few annual favorites, including the Greater Pittsburgh Irish Festival at the Sandcastle Riverplex, the Ligonier Highland Games at Idlewild, Mountain Craft Days in Somerset, and A Fair in the Park at Mellon Park in Shadyside. And as our hot summer days finally lead us into fall (around mid-September), the fall-themed festivals -- including a variety of Oktoberfests, Pumpkin Fests, and Fall Foliage festivals -- take over.
