Summer Nights at the Drive-In

Saturday June 3, 2006
Summer nights are just made for the drive-in, and the Pittsburgh area boasts several drive-in theaters where you can relax in your car and enjoy a movie. First run movies can be seen at the Dependable Drive-In in Moon Township, the Hi-Way Drive-in Theater in Latrobe, the Evergreen Drive-In in Mount Pleasant and the Riverside Drive-In in Vandergrift. A bit further afield, there are also drive-in theaters operating in Indiana and Fayette counties.

For drive-in without the cars, check out Pittsburgh Citiparks' Cinema in the Park where you can sit on a blanket under the stars and enjoy a movie for free. Family-friendly movies are shown seven nights a week at seven Pittsburgh area parks (a different park each night). Or try Sandcastle Waterpark's family Dive-In Movie nights, featuring new films at the Wave Pool on Sundays from June 25 - August 13, 2006.
