Hereford & Hops

This neighborhood brew pub and steak house, located in Cranberry, is a welcome new addition to the Pittsburgh restaurant scene. The microbrews and steaks are complemented by a full bar and wine list, and a full menu with everything from pizza, salads, and sandwiches to seafood and pasta entrees. You can even grill your own steak if you choose, although I prefer to let the experts do the work. Our Pittsburgh diners give their opinion on Hereford & Hops.

The atmosphere was great and the food was great. However, Our waitress was horrible. My sons girlfriend got her meal which was pasta and it was cold. we had to wait 20 minutes (no lie) for our waitress to come back to us to get refills and ask that it be heated up . Then we waited another 15 minutes for the food to come back to us . The manager even came around and asked us how everything was. This makes me think that customers aren’t that important to them. I was very disappointed with the service . I will never go back to that restaurant again.
The food is way too expensive for what you get. You have to grill your own steak, unless you want to pay an extra 2 dollars (for each steak) to have the chef cook it. When i go to dinner, i do not want to grill my own food. I would go to the grocery store, buy the same cut of steak and cook it outside on my grill, id probably save 18 dollars. Also, when you get a steak, you get the potato bar and salad bar. Theres really no effort from the cooks at all, but your still paying 20plus for your meal. I think its ridiculous. The service also, was terrible.
It sounds like both of you want to eat at a soup kitchen!!!! Cheap-ass ho’s!!! That place is the shiz-nit! I bet the restaurant is glad not to have you 2 free-meal suckers there anymore!!!!!!!
