With Pittsburgh heading to the Super Bowl, many new Steelers fight songs are out, along with updates to many old Steelers favorites. The classic "Here We Go" and "Pennsylvania Polka" have both been updated for Super Bowl XL, of course. Heard about the "Puhlahmahlu" song? This light-hearted retaliation against a network announcer for mispronouncing Troy Polamalu's last name is another fun listen.
Where to Get Great Steelers Songs
Tom Rooney, the nephew of Steelers owner Art Rooney has three great Steelers songs on a Steelers Nation podcast available free through Yahoo! Podcasts or at iTunes.
Puhlahmahlu, by Mr. Devious, can be downloaded from Flidop, Pittsburgh's grassroots music community.
A number of party stores around the Pittsburgh area sell CDs with a variety of old and new Steelers' fight songs, including Fun Party Store outlets with five area locations, and Mike Feinberg Co. in the Strip. You can also purchase a few for online download, including the popular Roger Wood classic "Here We Go!" at SteelersFightSong.com, but they're a bit pricey.
