A Good Place to Retire
Tuesday February 15, 2005
While sunny Arizona and Florida are popular havens for retirees, Pittsburgh is not a city that most ever consider. Author Warren Bland thinks differently, however. In his new book, "Retire in Style: 60 Outstanding Places Across the USA and Canada," Pittsburgh actually ranks #7, praised for its low cost of living, good health care, public transportation, clean air, and cultural and recreational activities. My suggestion to retirees considering moving here - look at retirement communities where someone else takes care of shoveling the snow!
