Up almost 10 cents from last week to a nationwide average of $1.94 per gallon, gas prices continue their record-breaking climb. Since December, when the current price rise started, gas prices have jumped 45 cents. There are ways to save money at the pump, however.

While driving halfway across town to save a few pennies on gas is counter-productive, knowing which locations on your usual driving route tend to have the cheapest gas prices is definitely a good way to save a few bucks at the pump. In general (but not always), the lowest gas prices in Pittsburgh can usually be found at membership warehouse clubs (Costco and Sams Club) or supermarket pumps (Giant Eagle's GetGo).
